Quickstart

Clone the Akritas GitHub repository if you have not already obtained the source:

cd akritas

This path requires Go 1.25 or later. Start an OpenAI-compatible endpoint on 127.0.0.1:8080, then build and run Akritas from the repository root:

go build -o bin/akritas ./cmd/akritas

Akritas discovers the first upstream model through /v1/models. Pin one with -upstream-model when the backend exposes several models.

Model-generated prose defaults to English. Add -response-language ru, or another BCP 47 language tag, to select a different response language without changing the Web UI language.

Verify the host:

Open http://127.0.0.1:8090/ for the embedded Web UI. This minimal path has no external MCP tools, RAG index, or writable workspace.
