Testing and Contributing

Run the product suite:

go test ./...
go vet ./...

Run the documentation gate:

cd ../Akritas-Docs
npm ci
npm run check

The command assumes the product and documentation repositories are siblings. Set AKRITAS_SOURCE_ROOT when the Akritas product source is elsewhere.

The tagged smoke suite builds and starts the real akritas binary against a controlled OpenAI-compatible upstream. It verifies model discovery, health, authentication, the embedded Web UI, durable generic-alert ingestion, asynchronous investigation, Run retrieval, and duplicate suppression.

Security-sensitive tests cover authentication, explicit policy denial, pessimistic MCP permissions, argument schemas, tool timeout, path and symlink escape, secret exclusion, proposal bounds, approval expiry/replay, stale-source/create races, audit redaction, persistence, and corrupt history.

Product contributions belong in the Akritas repository. Documentation contributions belong in the Akritas-Docs repository. The site links to both repositories without additional build configuration.
